Your data never leaves your device

Every TrueTool tool processes your files and data entirely in your web browser using local JavaScript. Nothing you upload or type is sent to our servers. You can verify this by disconnecting from the internet after a page loads — the tools continue to work.

What we collect

Nothing you type or upload. TrueTool does not require an account, and the tools never send your files, pasted text, or results to any server — everything is processed entirely in your browser.

No file uploads — your files stay on your device.
No personal information — we never ask for your name, email, or other identifiers to use the tools.
No advertising — there are no ad networks on this site.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which tools are most useful, so we can keep improving TrueTool. Analytics runs separately from the tools and collects only aggregated, anonymous usage data — such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser type, and device category. It never receives the contents of any file or text you process in a tool, which remain entirely on your device.

Google Analytics may set first-party cookies (for example _ga) on your device for this purpose. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking on all websites using Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Third-party libraries

Our tools use open-source JavaScript libraries (such as fflate and SheetJS) that are hosted locally on our own domain. The only exception is Google Analytics, which loads a single script from Google's servers solely to measure aggregate site traffic; no third party receives the contents of the files or text you process in a tool.

Hosting and server logs

TrueTool is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like most web hosts, Cloudflare may keep minimal, standard server logs (such as IP address and requested URL) to operate and secure the service. These logs are not used to identify or profile you.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site works, we will update this page. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
